1900 Meeting called to order by Vice President Todd Wilson, NØUNI.
Roll Call
Fifteen members and guests were in attendance. Introductions were made, and we had a new face, Jason Graham; he is currently unlicensed and will be working on his tech.
Reports
* January minutes were read; KIØKG and KAØNES made motion to accept, passed.
* Treasurer’s report read; KCØRWI/WØZC motioned, passed.
* Repeater trustee report: 67 working normally, still waiting on connectivity plan for Internet; 12 repeater, complaint of poor reception last net. This is usually due to atmospheric phenomena. There could also be some desensing caused by other transmitters in the penthouse.
Old business
* The National Weather Service’s Storm Fury on the Plains spotter session has been moved up to 6:30 PM Feb. 23. It will be at the Hutchinson Command & Fire Training Center, 3201 East 4th Ave.
* Field Day. State fair officials would require us to provide event insurance, so we declined. EOC has offered to let us use their new facility on G and Plum. We need to look it over and decide if it will work for us.
* Gina is in a private room at St. Luke’s Hospital in KC. She has had multiple surgeries for her heart valve replacement. She is awake and recovering.
New Business
No new business.
Presentations
* Zack, WØZC, brought his latest tracker which uses WSPR. He had launched a couple of test balloons in the previous week. You can follow their progress on APRS.FI, WØZC-17.
* Jeff, KCØRWI, brought an interesting bird tracker. It is a series of receivers designed to track collared birds with transponders.
* ACØRL brought a Pace desoldering machine for sale, bought by NØUNI.
