* Enid Hamfest was a total flop. Poor attendance all around. High entry fees were probably the reason.
* Treasurer’s report, current balance $6,976.64, and about $3,000 more coming.
* Repeater report, all nominal
Old Business
Report from those that manned the booth at the Reno County Ignite show. Much interest was shown by attendees
New Business
Brief discussion on how to best park the excess money we have accumulated:
* CD’s
* Savings Bonds type I
* Other investments?
Treasurer is soliciting ideas from the membership. A decision will be made by the membership early next year.

There is a building and large tower on 82nd and Hendricks that looks like a great club house. It is currently unused. If anyone has information regarding this facility, please let us know.

   ▪ Field Day is the last full weekend of June, 25-26.
   ▪ Setup will be Friday the 24th at 9 AM at the Armory.

 ◦ ARRL is accepting applications for grants.
    ▪ The club discussed applying for a grant to build a tower trailer that would have a generator and could act as a portable U/VHF repeater.
     ▪ Mark and Jerry offered to gather data on such a tower.

1901 Meeting called to order at the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce conference room. Many thanks to our VP Mark Rankin for securing this location for our meetings

Charles visited the Topeka radio club and noted their great attendance but poor financial condition.

March minutes were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s report was read.

New Business

Motion made by Jake Fields, seconded by Clint, to reimburse Mark Rankin the $175 he advanced for the yearly CoC dues. This is a great deal. We were paying Amvets well over that to use their facility. RCKARA is now a Chamber of Commerce member, which gives us access to their facilities and many other chamber events.

The club now meets at the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce, 117 North Walnut St., in Hutchinson. Meetings are at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. See you there!

The word from Jerry, ACØRL, our secretary/treasurer/repeater trustee:

Our Christmas Party is at 7 p.m. December 14 at the AMVETS Post at Avenue B and Lorraine Street.

The club is having Hog Wild cater the event with brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, and rolls. Please bring a drink, covered dish, salad, or dessert.

All are welcome. Please bring your family for a fun evening.

Meeting was called to order at 1900.

A new ham joined us, John Hess, KFØGFC, we made our customary introductions for the new ham. The fire hoses were used…

NØFHF came out of his burrow and saw his shadow, another three months of scorching summer heat…

Last month’s minutes were read.

Treasurer’s report was read.

No known repeater issues were noted over the last month.

HAMFEST ’21:

Setup will begin this Friday the 13th at 4 p.m. All hams are encouraged to come by and help. Tables and chairs need to be set up.

D&L Antennas will not be present.

Saturday at 6 a.m. we will open the doors for vendors and exhibitors to set up.

John, KAØNES, will provide paper products, coffee and filters, creamer, sweetener, stir sticks, and water. Lona will pickup doughnuts Saturday morning. Jerry will bring a whiteboard. Charles will provide raffle tickets.

Plan is:

· Door prize drawings every 30 minutes

· Raffle at 12:30

· DX Mayhem at 11:00

· John will handle door prize and raffle tickets and donations at the door.

Charles won the 50/50, total of $14, $7 to club, $7 to Charles.

Meeting was called to order at 1900

Announcements:

Butler County ARES meets at 2100 Thursdays on the KanOkla repeater system.

It was determined that a quorum was present. Minutes were read and accepted.

No treasurer’s report, no financial activity.

Repeater Trustee, no issues reported

Old Business

We have decided upon Hog Wild to provide the food. We will order enough for 16. Motion made and carried to authorize $200 for the party expenses.

The Christmas party will commence at 7 PM December 8th.

If you have not responded to the invitations sent out over the last couple of months, there may not be enough food to cover unanticipated arrivals.

New Business:

Club dues for 2021 will remain the same as in 2020.

Nate presented a power point on hail. Those that were in attendance now have the equivalent of a master’s degree in hailology. 🙂 It was a very interesting and informative presentation. Thank you, Professor Nate.
